How to Delete Your Account
At Youniq, Inc., we prioritize your control over your personal data. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Method 1: Inside the App (Automated)
The fastest way to delete your account and associated data is directly through the Youniq mobile app:
- Open the Youniq app and log in.
- Navigate to the Profile tab.
- Tap on the gear/settings icon.
- Scroll down and select Delete Account.
- Confirm your request. Your account and data will be permanently removed.
Method 2: Through the Website (Manual)
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request account deletion via the web:
- Submit a request using our Support contact form and select the "Account & Data Deletion Request" category.
- Alternatively, you can email us directly at info@youniq.app using the email address associated with your Youniq account.
What Data Gets Deleted?
When you delete your Youniq account, the following information is permanently erased from our active databases:
- Your profile details (Name, Display Name, Bio, Profile Photo)
- Your contact information (Email Address, Phone Number)
- Your saved events, bookmarks, and preferences
- Your social connections and messaging history within the app
What Data Is Kept? (Data Retention)
For legal, tax, and accounting purposes, certain transactional data must be retained. Specifically:
- Payment and Transaction Records: Data relating to ticket purchases or event hosting payouts is securely retained through our payment processor partners (e.g., Stripe) to comply with financial and tax regulations. This data may be retained for up to 7 years depending on local regulations.
- Security Logs: Anonymized server logs may be retained temporarily to prevent malicious activity and ensure system integrity.
Optional Data Deletion
Do you want to clear specific data without deleting your entire account? You can manually manage and delete items within the app:
- Un-save or remove events from your profile.
- Change or remove your profile photo in settings.
- Update your "Seen-ness" preferences at any time.
